pid is a retractable indoor laundry wire, housed in an attractive wall-mounted casing. Although hanging laundry indoors has negative connotations in many places in the world, pid seeks to change this by re-imagining the laundry line as an unobtrusive, harmonious interior accessory.

The design of pid was kept minimal and subtle, so that even after many years, you would not notice it is there.
Made from the users' perspective
Safety is paramount. If pid's retractable wire is accidentally released, a dampening system draws it back slowly into the housing, greatly minimising the risk of injury.
